JAYNES STREET

When our clients asked us to update their Berkeley Craftsman to accommodate a growing family, our goal was to create a modern, open floor plan while preserving the home’s architectural integrity. A second-floor master bedroom and bath were added, with the raised roofline providing additional depth and connection to the garden below. On the ground floor, we introduced a new family room featuring custom Douglas fir bi-fold doors, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. An under-stair closet was cleverly transformed into functional wall cubbies, perfect for storing kids' backpacks and shoes.
